Stichting Nederlandse Muziek Export (SNME), the Foundation of Dutch Music Export, was founded in 2009 with the intention of easing the way Dutch artists can do shows abroad and form international alliances and collaborations. From a non­profit base SNME works with artists in various musical genres ranging from minimal techno to death metal and from territories all over the world from Russia to South America and China to Canada.
Both upcoming and settled artists can apply for their musical endeavors in support that can be given financial, in network or other exchange possibilities. SNME sees itself as a cultural accelerator with a mission of making artists self sustainable after they have had some support. This with the final goal of providing them a position in which they are able to do work independent without any funding.
